Tyler: Owner
Tyler is a third-generation business owner right here in Chattanooga, Tennessee. His grandfather and father instilled his passion for entrepreneurship through the principles of hard work, integrity, and consistency. Tyler founded Lumberjacks Tree Service in 2012 and has become one of the most successful tree services in the Chattanooga Metropolitan Area.
Bettina: Account Specialist
Bettina is truly the keel of the Lumberjacks’ vessel. Once a respiratory therapist, she now is the lifeblood of our team. When you call for tree help, she’s the lovely voice on the other end of the line. Bettina is front and center, working with our team members to facilitate operational and client needs. Corralling the team, organizing plans for the week, and making sure we’re all taken care of and have everything we need. She takes good care of us and our clients.
Joey: Certified Arborist/Estimator
Joey is our head sales officer and boots on the ground expert for estimating and inspecting client jobs. Joey, a Crossville native, is an ISA Certified Arborist who began his career in the tree service industry in 2007. He quickly rose through the ranks, transitioning from a groundsperson to a tree climber in just over a year’s time. Thanks to his many years out in the field, he has developed an astute ability to accurately define the safest and most cost-effective manner to deal with our client’s needs.
Kyle: Team Leader
Kyle is a west coast native who relocated to Chattanooga in 2010, soon thereafter meeting his long-term girlfriend Torie. Kyle is a veteran of the tree service industry and since 2015 has been a pivotal member in building the Lumberjacks Tree Service company since 2015. As a lead equipment operator and team leader, he spends his days on the frontlines by providing clients outstanding service while simultaneously training our team members. When Kyle’s not working hard, he frequents local finishing holes with his two dogs, Shasta and Gatorade.
Zach: Team Leader, Climber & Crane Operator
Zach is a textbook example of how becoming a first-class tree climber can be a truly rewarding career. He has been in the industry eleven years and has worked in several states including Florida, Ohio, Alabama, California, and of course, Tennessee. And boy, does he have some wild stories! As a team leader, Zach holds his crew to a high standard and continuously inspires them to keep learning and improving their skills. Not only is he a team leader and climber, he is also becoming a licensed crane operator and is currently in college obtaining a business degree. When he’s not busy climbing trees, you can find him spending time with his wife and daughter, going hiking, or stargazing.
Curt: CDL Truck Driver
Curt and his wife, Deanna, have lived in the Chattanooga area since 2021. After moving here from Birnamwood, WI, Curt became part of the crew as a grapple truck driver. Having worked in construction for most of his life, Curt has a lot of experience driving off-road trucks and operating heavy equipment. Plus, he holds Class A, B, and C CDL licenses and can handle any challenge thrown his way. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, hunting, and snowmobiling (which is a bit hard to come by here in the South).
Jason: Mechanics/CDL
With over 25 years of experience in the auto service industry, Jason is our go to guy for all things that keep our fleet running strong. With an additional ten years of experience in the tree service industry, Jason can handle just about anything thrown his way. Born and raised in Dalton GA, he now calls Chattanooga home, along with his wife and three children.
Jon: Team Leader, Certified Arborist & Climber
As an avid spear fisherman and south Florida native, Jon has seen it all in the world of tree cutting. He has over twenty-two years of experience as both a climber and tree-surgeon, holding his certification as an ISA Certified Arborist for over 15 years! Anyone would be hard pressed to find someone in the industry with more experience than Jon. Working as Kyle’s righthand man, they are a force to be reckoned with when out on the job.
